45% rise in pain killer hospital admissions

Interesting new research released in Australia today showing a 45% increase in paracetamol (pain killer) hospital admissions over the past 10 years. 95,668 hospital admissions between 2007–08 and 2016–17 with a paracetamol poisoning diagnosis.

Whilst not a panacea, it has the potential to help alleviate many pain related issues, while being safe and natural.

For context, the research suggests more than 200 people have died from paracetamol poisoning over the past 10 years, while our health department’s data indicates a total of ZERO cannibis related deaths over the past 35 years.

Interestingly, a 2016 national survey indicated 85% of Australians favoured the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes, rising from 69% in 2013.

Australia, it’s time!
